Flowers for All Occasions

Fall is my favorite season. The punishing heat of our subtropical summer finally begins to ease; the bulbs, corms, and seedlings for winter and spring flowers start going in, and family-filled holidays are just around the corner. Flower-wise, fall is more of a reprisal of summer here at WildAugust. We offer many of the same flowers but focus more on planting an autumn-inspired palette as summer comes to a close on the calendar. It will be weeks before our weather actually cools, so heat-loving celosias, zinnias, sunflowers, amaranth, and gomphrena continue to be the main characters in our flower stories. Marigolds join the narrative in October and stay with us until we close the season in late November.
